Agency Source Announces Stephen Gilmour as Director of Sales and Marketing

Agency Source, a business development platform specifically tailored for advertising agencies and production companies, is proud to announce Stephen Gilmour as Director of Sales and Marketing for Agency Source. Stephen applies his nearly 15 years of sales expertise - and longtime multimedia marketing partnership with Agency Source founder Ross MacRae - to Agency Source’s U.S. market, connecting agency creatives and production company sales teams with creative partners and future clients, all in one place. He manages an international team responsible for scaling its global sales distribution.

Stephen was originally hired in 2010 by Ross MacRae, founder of Agency Source and Bikini Lists—who have been connecting creative production companies and vendors with clients worldwide for over 20 years—as a marketing specialist and overseer of its vast email platform. Just two years later, he became Creative Director, leading a full overhaul of the company’s web presence and brand design in 2012. He built an updated, responsive iteration in 2018 to reflect the platform’s in-browser capabilities, like viewing production talent websites and creative reels embedded directly in the site, among others.

Stephen originally envisioned a music career as the top-performing music student in school - falling just short of a stint as his uncle’s water bus helmsman - and went to college for audio engineering. School, however, introduced him to multimedia and design projects, which he ultimately loved more than engineering. He taught himself web design and earned his first role as the Web Content Manager of Greaves Sports. From there, he moved to content creation with Soccer Icon, filming and promoting prospective young soccer stars in the UK. An adjacent agency referred him to Ross MacRae in 2010, where the two bonded over their graphic and web design backgrounds, and he never looked back.
