To introduce Niles to the world, independent creative agency CALLEN partnered with Crocs to develop and produce a social-first content platform designed to establish the character’s distinct personality and world. More than a mascot, Niles is a long-term brand character designed for deeper audience engagement through ongoing storytelling.
CALLEN worked closely with Crocs to help shape how Niles comes to life through episodic content, social storytelling, and real-world experiences that allow consumers to follow his journey from a uniquely Crocs perspective.
A key part of Niles’ launch is how he's being brought to life. Crocs partnered with CALLEN to develop a micro-series filmed in the brand’s real offices alongside real employees, creating a more authentic and relatable connection between the character and the brand.
The first episode of the micro-series, a depiction of Niles’ hatching, launched on Crocs’ socials this morning.

Launching weekly on Crocs’ social platforms following Niles’s “hatching,” the episodes are designed to work both as standalone moments and part of a broader narrative, giving audiences multiple entry points into his world while creating a foundation for the character to grow and evolve over time.
The videos, directed by Sara Shelton of Station Film, were filmed with two cameras using a run-and-gun filmmaking approach, which lends itself to the improvisational, spontaneous feel of the comedy.
While Crocs is announcing Niles globally, content and appearances will first roll out in the North American market, with plans to take him international in 2027 as the brand continues to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
