Sonic Union Co-Founder/Sound Designer & Mixer Steve Rosen will join the stage at The PrePros live event on November 4th for a live event session called “Do Not Play It By Ear.” Rosen, known for his sonic contribution to hundreds of commercials, will join a panel of music and sound experts for a rousing, informative, and candid conversation that unlocks the mystery of the music brief and how music can make or break a campaign. Tickets are available here.
Hosted in collaboration with 72andSunny and ARC Creative, the panel features Steve Rosen, Co-Founder & Engineer At Sonic Union, Connor Gomez, Director Of Production At 72andsunny Nyc, Niles Howard, Editor At Work Editorial, Morgan Thoryk, Music Supervisor & Partner At Gems, Lora Schulson, Global Chief Production Officer At 72andsunny, Peter Raeburn, Founder & Composer At Soundtree Music, Whitney Yando, Gcd At 72andsunny, Luke Fabia, Senior Composer & Music Producer At Soundtree Music.
"When I heard about PrePros, it was obvious to me that it was filling a gap created during the pandemic by providing guidance and mentorship to the next generation of advertising leaders. We had to be a part of it,” says Rosen. “My job is to gently guide folks – it’s part audio engineering, part bartending, a pinch of diplomacy, and a dash of group therapy. I am excited to get into all of that and demystify the process with this amazing panel and the attendees at the upcoming Pre-Pros.”
Founded by ECD Rachel Frederick and CD Patrick Burke with production support by Sr. Producer Danica Rosen and EP Maria Elena Lopez-Frank, The PrePros aims to give the next generation of creatives direct access, real insight and guidance from the best in production and ideation. Based in New York, each event includes a happy hour, a featured talk and an interactive panel discussion. Sessions are hosted at different agencies and production houses throughout the city.
This event is free thanks to support and sponsorship of GEMS (Good Ear Music Supervision), Work Editorial, Sonic Union, Singing Serpent, ARC Creative, Caviar, Soundtree, Uncle Lefty, and Monte Isom Photo. For more information on The PrePros, visit theprepros.pro.
