The acclaimed director behind the “Ashe Versus” masterpiece and “Nuestros Manos” brings his lyrical visual language and actor-first approach to the US market.
Watching Sodré’s esteemed portfolio, you can see how his evergreen curiosity for the world around him enchants every frame with his unique storytelling voice.
Sodré explains, “I don’t like to judge things, I like to understand things. This is a feature of me, my way to live. It is why I am able to investigate things and collaborate on things.”

Duran’s wonder-filled approach to direction in his worlds enables him to craft profound visual poems that connect with audiences across the globe and earn some of advertising’s most prestigious recognitions. Sodré’s body of work is decorated with a flood of dazzling awards, including accolades from Ciclope, D&AD, Clios, UKMVA, and Cannes Lions.
A triumph in mixed media and sports storytelling, Sodré’s film for Moderna x US Open honors history-making tennis champion and civil rights advocate Arthur Ashe.

Sodré’s approach to directing actors is informed by his background in the craft, “I love to direct actors,” says Sodré, “As a bad actor in the past, I love to direct. I know their insecurities. I know how to guide them to create good things and real things. I like to listen.”
Another cinematic gem, “Nuestros Manos,” for Victoria crafts a tactile, dynamic, and vibrant visual epic exploring the historical and cultural importance of handmade culinary masterpieces.
On joining ELEANOR, Sodré celebrates feeling electrified by the intention and ambition he found from his new directorial home. “This urge to grow, this mission to evolve, I like that drive in the production company,” he said. “I want to grow together. I’m excited to work in the American market.”
In the words of ELEANOR president Sophie Gold, “With a quiet humility and a fierce collaborative spirit, Sodré tells stories that unfold like poetry - each frame a study in humanity, intimacy, and instinct.”
