Greenpoint Pictures Welcomes Director Jen Stafford

Greenpoint Pictures is excited to announce that filmmaker Jen Stafford has joined its roster of directorial talent. The recipient of an Emmy Award for Outstanding Entertainment for the Seattle Seahawks anthem film “Rebirth,” Jen directs soulful, emotionally resonant films that ignite the human spirit.

Jen began her career in documentaries, profoundly shaping her style, approach, and story-first mindset. Guided by an honest lens, humanity, and presence, Jen boils each story down to a universal truth and cleverly pulls on those threads to elicit an emotional response within audiences. Within her commercial work, Jen finds ways to return to these roots, blending tender poeticism with wonder to create films that feel as personal as they are powerful.

Red Bull Media House recruited Jen out of college, where she directed action and adventure content for 10 years, supporting the development of Red Bull TV’s visual approach and finding her footing as a director. There, she worked with athletes like Lindsey Vonn, Max Verstappen, Breanna Stewart, Daniel Ricciardo, Hilary Knight, and Sue Bird. She went on to direct the Red Bull brand film “One Shot,” featuring motocross rider Tyler Bereman, which won a National Sports Emmy for Outstanding Camera Work, and “Rebirth” for the Seattle Seahawks, winning a NATAS Emmy for Outstanding Entertainment.

Additional brand work includes Honda, Bud Light x NFL, Oura Ring, Chipotle, JPMorgan Chase, Delta Air Lines, and the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, as well as Domino’s Plowing for Pizza, which won a Silver Clio for Brand Activation. She also directs long-form branded documentaries, including 9,200 Feet, profiling Diamond 4 Ranch, and The Iron Man, featuring Special Olympics athlete Chris Nikic.

Her debut narrative short, SAM, garnered national festival acclaim, winning the Petite Prix at the 2023 Chelsea Film Festival, Best Picture at the Minneapolis–St. Paul International Film Festival, and was selected for the Oscar®-Qualifying Florida Film Festival, among others. The film explores the quiet erosion of childhood innocence as a young girl begins to confront the societal expectations placed on women.

Jen remarks on signing, saying, “Greenpoint masterfully blends commercial appeal while remaining a director’s production company. Their work beautifully showcases how they protect the artistic vision to create incredibly authentic, director-driven films. They unapologetically hustle and deliver, and being from New York myself, I fell in love with that spirit from our very first conversation. I’m thrilled to work with them to hone my commercial voice with a team that shares a love for the work.”

Michael Kuhn, Greenpoint Pictures Founder and director, adds, “From the moment we discovered Jen’s work, we knew she’d be an amazing fit at Greenpoint. Her work is equal parts gritty and striking, capturing the depth and resilience in both people and sports. There’s an honesty in her lens that feels distinctly human. Jen reconnects us to our roots, bringing a refreshing familiarity that embodies the essence of what first defined Greenpoint. We’re honored to welcome her to the family and can’t wait to see what she creates next.”
