Merman's Declan Lowney Directs Warburtons' "Inspection" Starring Olivia Colman
In the latest installment of the Warburtons campaign, Jonathan Warburton isn’t falling for the heist Agent Colman from D.O.N.T.** is trying to pull off.
(** Department of National Treasures).
Directed by Emmy and BAFTA winning Declan Lowney, Oscar winning Olivia Colman raids the Warburtons bakery and confiscates all the crumpets in order to “taste test them” for National treasure status.
Inspection is the latest addition to Warburtons line up of now-iconic storytelling adverts, which have previously featured A-List celebrities including George Clooney, Samuel L Jackson, Robert De Niro and Sylvester Stallone.
The campaign was a collaborative approach creatively developed by Billy Faithfull, Andy Lee and Jonny Porthouse and Merman Branded. The ad launches with a 2’17” Cut, followed with cut down versions.
Director, Declan Lowney says; “Having directed a host of Hollywood heavyweights, including The Muppets I thought I’d seen it all. But then along comes Olivia Colman, with an Oscar worthy, whip-smart performance in the latest epic for Warburtons Crumpets.
Kudos to the writers for their genius script and thank you Warburtons for being such brilliant clients to work with... espionage, crumpets, and chaos, plenty to get my teeth into!
And yes, Warburtons #7 is still technically part of the Trilogy!”
