Mr. Bronx Adds Sound Mixer Hayley Livingston

NYC-based audio post company Mr. Bronx has added Hayley Livingston to its roster of award-winning sound mixers.

Livingston comes to Mr. Bronx with an ideal mix of experience. Music was the starting point, and remains the thread running through everything she does. But her work now stretches across sound design and mixing for advertising, trailers, television, and feature films.

She studied music technology at NYU, building the technical foundation for a career in audio while playing live music throughout the East Coast and Midwest. After graduating, Livingston worked as a freelance mixer and dialogue editor, where she developed a deeper feel for Foley, backgrounds, and the small, often invisible choices that make a soundtrack feel alive.

That range eventually led her to One Thousand Birds. Over seven years, she worked her way from freelancer to full-time sound designer and mixer, becoming a trusted creative voice across both commercial and entertainment projects.

Her recent film work includes The Rebirth, which premiered at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival and featured a predominantly female cast and creative team. She also contributed to Amazon Prime’s Murder 101, while her latest feature, Handle With Care, premiered at the Rhode Island International Film Festival this year. On the commercial side, Livingston has sound designed and mixed campaigns for Coca-Cola, Slack, and Bud Light, including the brand’s 2024 and 2025 Super Bowl spots.

“Hayley represents the next generation of great audio talent,” says Mr. Bronx Executive Producer Zach Fortin. “She has the instincts, the technical ability, and the range, but she’s also a genuinely great fit for the room. Once we spent time together in person, that became obvious. She complements the personalities and strengths already here while bringing something distinctly her own. That makes the whole roster stronger.”

The connection began through Mr. Bronx Audio Producer Sarah Weck, who had met Livingston previously and introduced her to the team.

“Sarah kept me in the loop about the work Mr. Bronx was doing and always spoke so highly of the people,” says Livingston. “Then I came in, met Dave and Zach, and it clicked pretty quickly. They made me feel at ease. I loved the work, the rooms, and the energy of the team. It felt like somewhere I could do strong work and genuinely enjoy being part of it.”

Livingston’s path through audio post began early. While studying at NYU, she started in the industry at Trailer Park in Los Angeles and Flavorlab in New York, gaining experience across the full post-production process. The years since have allowed her to move between disciplines without losing the musical instinct at the center of her work, a balance that made Mr. Bronx feel like a natural next step.
