Belle Tire, one of the Midwest's leading tire and vehicle service providers, has always offered drivers free air at every one of its 185 locations, 24/7. With only two states, California and Connecticut, currently requiring gas stations to offer free air for motor vehicles by law, the company wants that same promise extended to every driver across America and is proud to announce “Air for All” an initiative extending that commitment beyond its own stores and into the broader community.
Beginning October 19, Belle Tire is buying out paid air compressors at select gas stations across the Midwest, giving drivers a place to properly inflate their tires without paying at the exact time of year they need it most, right when cold air starts to steal tire pressure from drivers in cold-weather climates. Supporting the campaign is a new spot produced by m ss ng p eces and directed by the directing duo Nick & Charles.
“At Belle Tire, we've always tried to be more than just a place to get your tires, we want to be a good neighbor to the communities we serve," said Don Barnes III, President & Chief Tire Guy, Belle Tire. "We know how essential proper tire air pressure is to safe driving, especially as temperatures drop here in the Midwest. All 185 of our stores already offer free air, and extending that same commitment to gas stations across our footprint felt like the right way to help even more drivers stay safe this season.”
Tire pressure is one of the most overlooked seasonal safety risks on the road. Tires lose roughly 1 PSI for every 10-degree drop in temperature, meaning a tire that was properly inflated in early fall can be several pounds low by the time winter sets in, often without a driver ever noticing. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, tires underinflated by more than 25 percent are three times more likely to be involved in a crash. Underinflated tires also cost drivers at the pump: every 1 PSI drop in pressure can reduce fuel economy by roughly 0.2 percent.
Free air is just one piece of Belle Tire's broader commitment to keeping drivers safe and on the road. The company also offers free flat tire repair, free tire rotations and balancing, and free alignment and brake checks at every location, along with free lifetime tire maintenance with every tire purchase. Belle Tire's certified technicians handle everything from new tires and wheels to complete vehicle maintenance, backed by the company's promise to beat any competitor's price.
