"A Radical Act: Renee Montgomery" to be Celebrated at BrandStorytelling 2025
WNBA feature documentary “A Radical Act: Renee Montgomery” has been officially selected for recognition at BrandStorytelling 2025, a Sanctioned Event of Sundance Film Festival, January 22nd –25th in Park City, Utah.
"A Radical Act: Renee Montgomery" is an inspirational documentary that explores the journey of Renee Montgomery—a two-time WNBA champion, sports broadcaster, activist, and now co-owner and vice president of the Atlanta Dream. Directed by Sandrine Orabona, “A Radical Act: Renee Montgomery” was produced by UNINTERRUPTED in association with Storyform, P&G Studios, a division of Procter & Gamble, and the WNBA. Storyform, UNINTERRUPTED, and P&G Studios in partnership with Mielle, were thrilled to tell a powerful story about women breaking glass ceilings and charting new territories that can foster relevant connections. Renee’s story was a perfect complement for Mielle, the leading Black-founded and women-led beauty brand and official textured haircare brand of the WNBA
Director Sandrine Orabona of Storyform remarks, “We're honored to be an official selection for BrandStorytelling at the Sundance Film Festival. At the heart of Storyform is the power to unite diverse voices for impactful, long-form storytelling. Partnering with P&G Studios, the WNBA, the Atlanta Dream, Uninterrupted, and Roku to bring ‘A Radical Act: Renee Montgomery’ to audiences is a true reflection of what we at Storyform are about.”
LeBron James, Maverick Carter, Jamal Henderson, Philip Byron, Renee Montgomery, Stephanie Acevedo, Kimberly Doebereiner, and Eric Austin are the film’s executive producers, with Camille Maratchi as co-executive producer and Anke Thommen as the film’s producer.
