Cut+Run Adds Editor Stephen Dunne
Cut+Run announces that multi-award-winning editor Stephen Dunne has joined its roster. As a celebrated editor known for his instinctive storytelling and dynamic pacing, Stephen’s career spans everything from high-end commercial campaigns, films and TV to music videos.
Stephen is drawn to projects that blend emotional depth and visual experimentation, finding the human truth inside the footage with his cuts. He works at the height of cinematic craftsmanship, with a playful, collaborative style grounded in trust and honesty. Stephen’s varied artistic background includes photography, writing, and music, allowing him to draw inspiration from diverse modalities to create something entirely new and perfectly aligned with each film.

He edited the short film “An Irish Goodbye,” which won Best Live Action Short at both the BAFTAs and Academy Awards, and the feature film Last Swim, which won the Crystal Bear Award at the Berlin Film Festival. His other accolades include three AICP wins, including Best in Show for the BBC’s “Trust is Earned” campaign, along with three Creative Circle Awards, and several more British Arrows, D&AD Black Pencils, Shots, and Kinsale Shark Awards. He has edited countless spots for brands like WhatsApp, Nike, Adidas, Gatorade, PlayStation, and automotive companies, including Dodge, Hyundai, Porsche, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Ford, and Rolls-Royce.
