Submit News

To submit news to The Howler, please email news@thehowler.news with the following information:

• Company (If the submitter belongs to a press agency)
• Subject company (Who the article is about; please provide a URL)
• Article headline (May be shortened to maximum of three lines)
• The story (Written in third person, 300-500 words minimum; We accept .docx, .pdf, as well as Google Docs and text email formats)
• Any relevant production credits
• At least one hero image (Please submit with a 1200 x 800px aspect ratio; we will resize or crop incorrectly sized graphics as needed. Captions will be applied to images if they are provided.)
• Any relevant video links (YouTube and Vimeo links can be natively embedded; Simian clients can submit downloadable Simian reels)

All news that appears on The Howler is grouped under the following categories:

Production: Live action work produced for agencies, brands, media companies, corporations, institutions, artists, etc. 

Post Production: New work, new talent or anything related to creative editorial, VFX and animation, motion graphics, design or color grading.

Music & Sound: Everything audio, from original music provided for ads or campaigns to licensing, music supervision, audio post and sound design.

General News: New director signings, new production talent, company mergers or expansions, awards, conferences – you know the drill!

Viewpoints: Opinions, guest editorials, 'how we did it' articles, DIY guides or Q&As from interesting people will appear here.
