Good Behavior Signs Brandt Lewis

Good Behavior, the comedy commercial production outfit launched last year by director Pete Marquis and his partners Victoria Guenier and Adam Lawson welcomes Brandt Lewis to its growing roster of directors. The company was recognized this year as a 2025 Ad Age A-List Production Company Standout for its outstanding and prolific workload since launching.
Lewis worked as an art director at Deutsch, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, 72andSunny, and Wieden+Kennedy before taking the leap into commercial directing in 2018. He was one of the key creatives responsible for some of the most daring and unforgettable Burger King campaigns out of Crispin Porter + Bogusky, featuring a miming Burger King in an oversized, grinning plastic mask. As a director he has helmed high-profile comedy commercials for Arby’s, Tinder, Snickers, Skyscanner and Yumbos, among others. He brings a blend of big brand thinking and craft expertise to all of his projects. His off-kilter sense of humor is anchored by an earnest heart, showing how human truths can be inherently funny.

"Brandt is doing the kind of work I love seeing out in the world. It’s damn funny. But when you drill down further — he’s playing each script to its maximum potential,” said Marquis. “Whatever story he’s telling, he’s pulling you into it in a way that feels so weird and off yet so real at the same time. He has such a clear understanding of what a concept or situation needs, and when to escalate or extend an awkward beat. And he’s casting actors and drawing out wonderfully underplayed performances that land perfectly. I’m over the moon excited to be on the same team as Brandt at Good Behavior. And he puts his napkin in his lap, which is a big thing for us."
"I’m really excited about how Good Behavior approaches both the work and their relationships,” said Lewis. “Since we’re all ex-agency, we get the real-world challenges agencies deal with—and as those challenges keep shifting, Good Behavior is shifting with them. It's built to be the kind of partner that thrives in this new landscape. At the heart of it all, we love great, idea-driven comedy—it’s what we do best, and Good Behavior is a super collaborative, really forward-thinking group that was built to bring those ideas to life–and I couldn't be happier to be a part of it."
"I am so excited that Brandt Lewis has joined our Good Behavior team,” said Guenier. “Brandt has directed many spots we are envious of and we can’t wait to see what he does here. Brandt and I go back to our days at Deutsch and it feels good to work together again."
Lewis grew up in an improbable hometown, Tucumcari, New Mexico; a desert highway pitstop famous for its roadside neon signs, curio shops, a tee-pee trading post and post-modern Route 66 era motels and gas stations, all of which fueled and inspired his offbeat approach to creativity. Despite lacking a camera, as a young man he found creative outlets through drawing and painting, using every medium available to tell his stories. His art and storytelling drew him into the world of advertising.

Lewis firmly believes in the transformative power of great ideas and humor, recognizing the untapped comedic potential within every brand's narrative. His unique strength lies in casting and working with talent, extracting comedic performances that stay with us. This extraordinary gift allows him to tap into the awkward truths that connect and engage consumers.
