Samsung and Chromista Tease 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' in New Galaxy Z Spot

Samsung and Chromista Tease 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' in New Galaxy Z Spot

Samsung is premiering the next chapter of its recently announced collaboration with Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The film is set to be released exclusively in theaters on July 31.

Directed by Emmy-nominated filmmaker, Marvel alum, and acclaimed production designer Kasra Farahani, the new campaign video showcases Spider-Man as he fights crime and puts his phone through the wear and tear of superhero life. In the spot, the Fabricator creates a number of devices for Spider-Man built to stand up to the pace and unpredictability of life behind the mask. The teaser hints at what's to come from Samsung Galaxy’s next chapter while Ned Leeds uses Spidey Tracker to stay on Spider-Man's trail. Spider-Man fans should also keep an eye out for a range of exciting easter eggs hidden throughout the teaser.

The new brand spot, set in Peter Parker’s apartment, tells an original story that blends product innovation with actual clips from Spider-Man: Brand New Day, giving fans a peek into the highly anticipated film before its theatrical release on July 31. Today's creative rollout teases a larger story that continues during Samsung Galaxy Unpacked on July 22.

“The most successful partnerships create stories fans genuinely want to experience, with technology integrated in ways that feel natural to the characters and stories they love,” said Keena Grigsby, Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President, Mobile eXperience at Samsung Electronics America. “This collaboration gave us the opportunity to create an exclusive brand film for fans that brings Galaxy foldables naturally into Spider-Man's world through an original story - showcasing our innovation in a way that feels authentic to the franchise while complementing the excitement of the upcoming film.”

Earlier this summer, Jacob Batalon, as Ned Leeds, helped unveil Spidey Tracker, an interactive fan experience powered by Samsung Galaxy. Now, Batalon is joining #TeamGalaxy as the brand’s newest ambassador.

“The Galaxy Z Fold is a perfect match for Ned and the creation of the Spidey Tracker,” said Jacob Batalon. “Getting to use the Fold7 and Galaxy Watch on set was a cool experience, and I’m excited to officially join Team Galaxy as a natural extension beyond the movie.”
