Amy Crawford, MassiveMusic’s VP, Creative Development, the global music and sound partner for leading brands, agencies, and platforms, has been elected National Board President of the Association of Music Producers (AMP). She succeeds Matt Nelson, Managing Director at Storefront Music, who’s held the post for the past two years.

Crawford has been an active participant with AMP’s East chapter for over three years, most recently serving as East Coast President. Prior to that, she served on the East Chapter’s board and on the Programming and Communications Committees, which produce events and share information with AMP membership.

Succeeding Crawford as President of the East Chapter Board will be Adrian Womack, Executive Creative Producer at Racket Club. Both Crawford and Womack will work closely with AMP’s incoming West Chapter president, Jean Scofield, Executive Creative Producer and Partner at Mophonics.

Crawford notes that her election to lead AMP’s National Board comes at an inflection point for the music industry’s trade group, which represents independent music and audio post companies that provide original music, music supervision, licensing, and sync, as well as audio post and mixing, to both agencies and brands.

“All of us on the Chapter Boards are proud of helping AMP grow and continue to build on the momentum we’ve had since the pandemic,” Crawford says, pointing out that the 2026 AMP Awards were one of the most successful events in the association’s history. “Issues surrounding AI and changing dynamics at many of the largest advertising agencies have presented challenges to our members, as well as to the industry as a whole. At the same time, AMP represents a community of creative leaders whose companies produce some of the industry’s most influential and impactful work, with global impact. My goal is to work alongside our members and leadership to ensure AMP remains at the forefront of the industry and well prepared for the future.”

Crawford adds, “Part of our membership growth is attributable to how we've welcomed more companies, particularly newcomers to our industry, by providing networking opportunities, fostering knowledge sharing, and delivering thought leadership both within our membership and at key industry events and conferences. I'm also excited that our Social Inclusion & Culture Committee has secured a new round of funding for its scholarship program. We’re continuing to broaden the diversity of perspectives represented across our boards and committees, helping ensure AMP remains relevant, forward-looking, and responsive to the evolving needs of our industry.”

One key area of focus for AMP going forward will remain education and mentorship, particularly on the agency and client levels. Crawford’s deep commitment to mentoring emerging talent stems from her own experiences as an artist. Prior to joining the creative audio industry, Amy performed and toured internationally with accomplished artists from a wide range of musical genres, including more than a decade of collaboration with MacArthur “Genius” Anthony Braxton, and continues to write and produce her own music.

“I’m grateful to AMP for this opportunity to help steer the organization forward. AMP has been and will continue to be a leader in our field, advocating for our members, championing creative excellence, and serving as a trusted voice on the issues shaping our profession.”

For Womack and Scofield, their appointment as chapter president offers both a chance to put their own stamp on these important music communities.

"In my time spent on committees and boards with AMP, I've seen a resounding amount of dedication from the other individuals who've come together to make the work we do work better for everyone,” Womack says. “I look forward to serving as President on the East Coast and couldn't be more excited to lead alongside Amy and Jean."

Scofield adds that one of her goals is to champion the creation of more channels to share the AMP membership’s collective knowledge and unite our increasingly remote network, and foster visibility, mentorship, and access as a resource. “I’m grateful to AMP for their trust to take on the role of West Coast chapter president and am excited to support Amy and Womack in fulfilling our collective goals,” Scofield notes.
