Sound Goods Promotes Acacia McDonough to Producer

New York audio post and original music company Sound Goods has promoted Acacia McDonough from Associate Producer to Producer after her first year with the company.

McDonough joined Sound Goods in 2025, hired directly out of Vassar College after standing out in a large field of applicants. Since then, she has quickly become an essential part of the studio’s day-to-day production and growth, proving her ability to take on a larger producer role across both client-facing work and internal operations.

In her first year, McDonough has played a key role across bids, casting, scheduling, sessions, client services, events, and the development of new internal systems that have helped the company operate more efficiently. She has also supported Sound Goods’ original music work, helping with music jobs, demos, searches, and the organizational side of the music business as the company continues expanding that side of its offering.

Her sharp creative instincts, calm production sense, and collaborative approach have made her a vital part of the Sound Goods team.

As Producer, McDonough will continue supporting Sound Goods across sound design, mix, VO records, casting, original music, music searches, and client-facing production, while helping the company move into its next phase of growth.
