Tinygiant Signs Director Charlotte Evans
Tinygiant announces the latest signing of director Charlotte Evans to its growing roster of directorial voices. Based in Sydney and working internationally, Charlotte is known for her authentic and instinctive approach to performance-driven work - spanning commercials, long-form documentaries, music videos and narrative filmmaking.
Starting off her career in the industry in London, she trained under acclaimed editor Rick Waller before moving to New Zealand where she soon established herself as a sought-after director and editor. Her work has continued to evolve and consistently feels elevated and grounded in authenticity, creating films that are both deeply human and visually expressive.

Her award-winning music video work for artists including Kimbra, Aldous Harding, Benee and The DMA’s has earned widespread recognition, including two CLIPPED Music Video Festival awards for Best Director and Best Editor. Her short film Give Kate A Voice received a Webby Honoree and Silver at the NZCINE Awards, while her documentary OK Chlöe, profiling Green MP Chlöe Swarbrick, screened internationally at festivals including Cinequest before being selected as a New Yorker Original and featured on Short of the Week.
“I've been following Tinygiant for a while and what really stood out to me was Veronica's approach to filmmaking. Her phrase "mining is harder" immediately resonated. I'm forever saying "it's PR, not ER" on set as a reminder that whilst we care deeply about the work, we're also incredibly lucky to do this for a living. Tinygiant felt like a place that values collaboration, creativity and people, which is exactly the kind of company I wanted to be part of. The fact that it's female-owned and led was also a huge draw for me.
Throughout my career I've tried to create opportunities for women and underrepresented voices wherever possible, so it feels incredibly special to be joining a company that shares those values. I'm also excited to be working with Veronica, Sara and the talented creative community they've built in the US.” - Charlotte Evans.
Alongside her narrative and documentary work, Charlotte has also directed an impressive reel of campaigns for major global brands including Adidas, AIA, the NSW Government and Tourism New Zealand, contributing to the internationally celebrated Good Morning World platform, recognised by Cannes Lions, D&AD, Global Effies, Spikes Asia and the Axis Awards.
“Charlotte’s work has this unique ability to feel expansive and intimate all at once which really stood out to us. Her visual sophistication and human-centered approach to directing makes her a perfect addition to our growing roster of talent.” - Veronica Diaferia, Founder and Executive Producer at Tinygiant.
Charlotte is currently completing Being Chlöe, a feature-length documentary following Swarbrick’s ten-year political journey, while developing a slate of scripted and unscripted projects. With her signing, Tinygiant continues to expand its internationally recognised roster of directors working across comedy, documentary, branded content and cinematic storytelling.
